Welcome to Stregato Collies
2016
March - Nala attended her first show at Ayrshire Collie Club Open Show and done us proud where she was placed 1st in Puppy Bitch and went on to win Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy In Show under Judge Alyson Rae, Paridel. We attended her second show the following weekend at Scottish Breeds Ch Show where she was placed first in Puppy Bitch under Judge Tan Nagrecha.
April - brought us Gemheid China Girl at Stregato (Freya). Freya arrived at Stregato at the age of sixteen weeks. She is a very confident, loving pup and we are looking forward to the future with her. Nala continues to do well at the shows winning Best Puppy In Breed and Group 3 at Falkirk show.
May - We finished converting the garage and the groom room is ready! Nala continuing to do well in the shows winning Best of Breed, Best Puppy In Breed and Pastoral Puppy Group 3 at Working & Pastoral Breeds of Scotland, Best of Breed and Group 4 at Kirkcaldy Open Show.
June - We travelled to Blackpool dog show with Blaze, Hettie and Nala. It was a fabulous day spent with friends. Blaze was placed fourth in a big limit class, Nala placed 1st in a big junior class and Hettie placed 2nd in a large limit class.
July - We attended Larkhall and District Open Show with Nala and Rhia. Both girls were placed first in their classes and Nala went on to win Best of Breed. Freya attended her first show along with Brodie at Hawick & District Open Show where she was placed 2nd in AV minor puppy. Brodie was placed first and also won Best of Breed.
August - we brought home Wicani Hecate (Katy) at the age of nine weeks old. Katy is a gorgeous addition to our kennel. Nala pulled out all the stops on the 28th when she attended Scottish Kennel Club Ch Show and won RBCC under judge Mrs M Glover-Guest. It was an absolutely fabulous day.
September - Nala attended Lothian Canine Club Open Show and done us proud again being placed Best of Breed and going on to get Group 1. We also attended Darlington Ch Show with Blaze, Nala and Freya. Freya was placed 4th in Minor Puppy Bitch and Nala placed 3rd in Junior Bitch. It was a great day out and Freya managed to spend time with her sister and mother.
October - This month brought us two litters. Our first litter was from Hettie who was mated to Wicani Rumours (Scandal).
On the 19th October Hettie delivered seven gorgeous babies. Sadly four babies died and we hand reared three - Stregato First Edition (Rory), Stregato Limited Addition (Coupar) and Stregato Gemelli Amore (Amy). Our second litter arrived the week later on the 26th October from Rhia who was mated to Imaginist Wrendition (Torin). Rhia gave us four gorgeos babies - Stregato Diamond in the Ruff (Finn), Stregato Highland Glenn (Mr Glenn), Stregato The Maleficent (Jolie) and Stregato Thistlewit (Missy).
November - This month was a mixture of emotions. The pups were thriving well. Tragically Wicani Cloudscape at Stregato (Brodie) suddenly died at the young age of two years old. This boy got us through some very hard times and we will miss him every day.
December - The pups are moving to their new homes this month. Every one of them have fantastic homes and we wish them all the very best for the future. Amy will stay here with us.
